Project Life- Week 13

Once again I made my own title card. This week I used card stock and ribbon from Target's $1 section. I LOVE the dollar section! The stripes are from the packaging from a gift I bought for a friend online. (or maybe it was a gift for myself...I can't remember now, haha!)
In Photoshop I journaled on top of a few pictures and THEN resized which was a big mistake. On the left side, on the picture of greek yogurt I journaled about how I made my own and the type is SO small you'd need a magnifying glass to read it! Lesson learned.
The two 6x4 photos on the right side are my favorites. We took Neely to a park and I took sequence pictures of Brett going down a slide. His facial expressions were so intense, when I saw the pictures I started laugh-crying (that is how I look when I laugh so hard I cry)! It's a wonder I didn't wet my pants I was laughing so hard! It was such a fun time, I'm so so glad we documented it and it's in our PL book forever! You can click the picture to enlarge and look at his face up close...it's amazing, lol!

Project Life- Week 12

The card with Mabel holding my arm as she falls asleep is my favorite card of this week!
I LOVE (as in super super obsessed with) all things Amy Tangerine and the "Pure Sweetness" sticker is from one of her sticker books.
Also this week I used some Oh Deer Me Kit embellishments as well as some stamps from the Valentine's Day section at Michael's.
The month letters on the title card are SO thick and hard plastic (think alphabet magnets...kind of) and I LOVE them. Pretty much anything hot pink I am all about!

FREE Project Life Card!

I made this today and I'm not sure if anyone is interested in it, but here it is!

I was thinking about how lucky I am to live in San Diego who this year has a perpetual summer and how sad it is for you folks who live in snow!

I printed this out on a 6x4 piece of photo paper & it looked like a bright splash of sunshine! Remember it may not look exactly as it does on the screen.

I hope you like it! I plan on making more free downloads in the future.

Project Life- Week 11

This week was a little more cohesive than last week, but still not super matchy matchy.

Here is a close up of a frame that I built up. I don't love the picture of me, but the girls are sooo cute!

I think that Tim Holtz tiny attacher tool would be perfect on the above picture but I would never ever spend $20 on it! I have to wait for a coupon from Michael's or Joann's and then get it.

Project Life Week 10

In November of 2013 I finally gave into my curiosity and succumbed to the Project Life mania. Project Life is an extremely simple way to document, well, Life!
I am an all-star sap. I am one of the most sentimental people I know. I want to know all things about my relatives and family history, I want to save every piece of mail, art, text, photo etc., that people give me.
I love to document my own life and pretty much every little thing that my kids do.
All that to say, I was a good candidate for Project Life.
I haven't been able to photograph my layouts that well because I didn't have a lens that worked, but I recently got a new lens so now I can start posting my layouts!

Week 10

I must say, I'm not your typical Project Lifer. I don't care about my layouts looking clean and uniform.

I make a lot of my own cards, I don't own tons of embellishments so I make my own frames and get creative in other ways.

I've also realized that I'm way more about the photos than the journaling. I haven't actually seen any Project Life layouts like mine...I've hoped to see some, maybe for some inspiration, but I guess I'll keep looking!
At any rate, I love love love Project Life!
